Joel Braunstein, Founder

Joel has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where he developed skills in all angles of the restaurant business. A seasoned restauranteur with a passion for real estate, Joel believes that details matter, and enjoys looking for the next community to introduce Score Pizza.
Joel has a powerful focus on serving a quality product to its amazing customers and truly believes that each Score Pizza is a landmark, a meeting place for all to come and enjoy a lively atmosphere. Joel uses his expertise in restaurant construction, design and operations to ensure each store is built with quality in mind.
His goal is to offer franchisees an opportunity to run their own business, following a streamlined process to deliver a great product, while having fun at it. What keeps Joel fired-up is seeing a happy team serving a loyal group of pizza fans, while re-inventing Canada’s favourite comfort food.
As a recognized leader in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years, Paul has held senior financial and operational positions in leading restaurant brands like Planet Hollywood, Cracker Barrel and First Watch.
He was the Executive Director of the National Restaurant Association where he worked with several restaurant brands in all segments to help develop solutions for their businesses. He also led Industry partnerships with both suppliers, regulatory authorities and e-learning solutions.
Paul is an active Industry board participant for various associations and boutique leadership conferences. He also spends time helping emerging brands in the food service & hospitality sectors and is passionate about Public Health and developing entrepreneur programs for Africa. He has extensive real estate development background, manages both residential and commercial rental properties.
He is a partner in the Revelry Group, a full-service Marking Agency in the Foodservice Industry and is also the Managing Partner of Avenger Capital, a private investment firm with six diverse operating businesses.
A Wilfrid Laurier graduate and self-proclaimed foodie, Gabrielle started with Score Pizza early in 2020 and very quickly developed a reputation for her innovation and proactive managerial style. Gabrielle is an active member of her community where she sits on the board of directors for the Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area and marketing committee.
Prior to joining the Score Pizza team, she spearheaded the opening and operations of several popular bar and nightclub concepts, working her way through the crowds and serving up your favourite late-night cocktails. A continual volume driver and proven leader, she has been integral at taking Score Pizza online and continuing to streamline our operations, while staying true to our amazing Canadian brand.
Her unwavering passion for hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit give her a noteworthy perspective on the evolving landscape of the food and beverage industry. More recently she was named on National Restaurant News’ Powerlist for most influential restaurant executives of 2021, as well as Food Service Magazine’s Top 30 under 30 for 2022.
Brianna found her passion for all things food at a young age. She discovered her natural abilities for training and development during her studies at the University of Ottawa, where she began working for a very prevalent entertainment company, in their food and beverage department.
She has been with Score Pizza since 2018 where she thrives under pressure and created a culture which encourages teamwork, productivity, communication, and individuality. Brianna has strategized and developed outstanding training procedures to ensure the process is efficient, precise and most of all, FUN.
Her main objective is to continue to develop and strengthen the Score Pizza training practices by creating individualized coaching plans and to empower and enable an inclusive team which supports Score Pizza in exceeding their goals.
Thanks to her outgoing, passionate personality, and her 80’s music training parties, each store opens with a cheerful working environment with strong leaders, ready to deliver craveable Score experiences to the community.
